This Labour manifesto is a declaration of the intentions of three CLPs.

Barrow & Furness CLP, Westmorland & Lonsdale CLP, and Penrith & The Border CLP have worked together to develop a manifesto for the new council area of Westmorland & Furness. Members from all three CLPs were consulted and given the chance to include the issues that are most relevant to them and their very diverse communities.

Labour councillors elected to the new Westmorland & Furness Council will have the manifesto as their handbook, and will have a shared understanding of the needs of our residents and what needs to happen.
