The Barrow and Furness Constituency Labour Party would like to thank all our local community for the sacrifices everyone has made to ensure the spread of Corona virus is limited as best as possible. Adherence to all health guidance is essential to preventing the virus spreading even further.

Our deep gratitude goes to all the health, care and key workers who have done so much to save lives, care for our loved ones and keep essential services available. So many have sacrificed so much.

We also want to thank all the people of different races and cultural backgrounds who work within our health, care and key services, without whose efforts the crisis would have been so much worse. Barrow and Furness is a diverse community and we are proud that we welcome and value everyone who lives and works here regardless of where they come from.

Finally, despite recent national revelations about breaches of lockdown regulations we urge everyone to continue to adhere to all Corona virus health guidance and maintain social distancing. Please do not let others irresponsibility lull you into complacency as the Corona virus continues to be a severe threat to life.
